Operations at Castle Haven Cabins during COVID-19

Updated July 6, 2021

We are currently operating under a COVID-19 Plan that is reflective of the most current guidance from the CDC and MN Department of Health. These procedures are put in place to keep you, your family, and our family safe. This Plan is subject to change at any time and will continue to be updated as the COVID-19 situation evolves. Visit www.castlehaven.net/covid-19-operations/ for the most current version of this Plan.

Expanded Disinfecting Procedures

On April 5, 2021, the CDC made an update on the how COVID-19 spreads on surfaces. We have made adjustments to follow this new guidance.

We will be thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all highly touched non-porous surfaces that include, but are not limited to, all door handles, kitchen appliances, faucets, kitchen chairs, light switches, TV and DVD remotes, cabin keys, window cranks and latches. All disinfectants are approved by the CDC for killing the COVID-19 virus.

Bedding & Linens

All bedding and towels will be provided as normal. If you typically get bedding for the futon, we will only provide sheets and additional towels for over 4 guests.

Current Mask Guidelines

Minnesota has updated their mask policy to match the guidance from the CDC:

Any fully vaccinated individual is not required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors unless required by a business, which will state that upon entry of their establishment.

Any unvaccinated individual is still recommended that they wear a mask when indoor public areas.

Social distancing is also highly encouraged whenever possible.

If You are Sick, Please Stay Home

Please remember that the healthcare systems in this region are very capable, but also small. If you are sick or showing symptoms of the following: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle aches, headache, diarrhea, new loss of taste or smell, please stay home.

If you have friends or family in the area who are not staying at Castle Haven, we understand you may have them visit you at our resort. If you do, please do not let this time exceed 3 hours and should not be a daily occurrence. Your visitors should not, at any time, have pets with them. This does not allow for large group visits or gatherings.
